After parts are stamped, punched and formed, the individual stampings or metal blanks are completed in our in-house metal fabrication process. This process begins with taking the multiple sheet metal parts or blanks and welding them together, sometimes to very close tolerances as called for by the project specifications and customer requirements. Hardware or machined components can also be added in the metal fabrication process, and, if necessary, we build specific fixtures to put all the parts together. FVSC in-house welding capabilities save on project costs and we are able to offer customers both MIG and TIG welding. Our semi-automatic MIG welding and TIG welding machines provide quality weldments consistently and efficiently. MIG welding is versatile and fast. TIG welding yields a higher quality weld and is ideal for thin parts and stronger welds. The TIG welding process is also cleaner, with minimal post-weld cleaning required.
